USA Defend Russia in the United Nations! World is Shocked to see, you believe?

In today's time, many European countries—actually, I would say most countries in the world—are saying, "We cannot believe our eyes." They are shocked at what they are witnessing.

The same USA that, just a few months ago, was making statements against Russia, passing resolutions against Russia in the United Nations, and openly opposing Russia, has now come to Russia’s defense in the UN. You can see this news being covered by BBC, CNN, and media worldwide because, for the first time, we are seeing the United States of America voting in Russia’s favor in the United Nations General Assembly.

What actually happened? European countries had introduced two resolutions in support of Ukraine in the UN General Assembly (not the Security Council, but the General Assembly, which has 193 member countries). These resolutions asked whether countries supported Ukraine and wanted an end to the Ukraine-Russia war as soon as possible. One resolution also explicitly stated that Russia was wrong for waging war against Ukraine.

The expectation was that the US would support this resolution since it has consistently backed Ukraine against Russia. However, the US shocked the world by taking Russia’s side and voting against the UN resolution.

This major policy shift by the USA has put many countries on alert. It shows how much the country's stance can change after just one election. The US foreign policy undergoes a complete transformation, and everything changes drastically.

One of the most surprising aspects of this resolution was that major countries like India and China chose to abstain from voting, following a "wait and watch" approach. It was expected that, at most, the US would do the same. However, instead, the US aligned itself with countries like North Korea and voted against the resolution, effectively defending Russia.

This is truly shocking. As the famous quote by Henry Kissinger states: “The USA has no permanent friends, no permanent enemies, only interests.” Donald Trump seems to be taking this quote very seriously. This situation will be remembered by the world for a long time.

Here is the resolution in question, titled "Advancing Comprehensive, Just, and Lasting Peace in Ukraine." This resolution also condemned Russia. A total of 93 countries worldwide supported the resolution. Since only 18 countries voted against it and 65—including India and China—chose to abstain, the resolution was still passed.

Among the countries that voted "No" were North Korea, the Russian Federation, and, shockingly, the United States of America. This is absolutely surprising. Recently, the US even blocked the G7 from using the term "Russian aggression," which is another major shift. The same US that once pushed other nations to use that term is now arguing against it.

Additionally, former US President Donald Trump recently called Ukrainian President Zelensky a "dictator." Later, when asked whether he would use the same term for Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump dodged the question, making it clear that while he was willing to call Zelensky a dictator, he would not use the same word for Putin.

This is a complete turnaround from the Biden administration’s stance. President Biden had openly called Putin a "murderous dictator" and a "pure thug." However, after just one election, the US government’s language has changed entirely, with its policies now appearing to defend Russia.

When Trump won the election, the happiest person in the world was likely Vladimir Putin himself. This event underscores how major historical events can shift in an instant. If the assassination attempt on Trump had been successful, the Democrats would have retained power, and the US’s stance on Russia would have remained aggressive, putting Putin under immense pressure. However, today, Putin is talking about trade deals with the US and suggesting that both countries explore economic opportunities together.

What impact will this have on India? Well, Ukraine is obviously devastated, and many Ukrainians are in shock. They never expected that the country that once defended them would now be siding with Russia.

Europe is also largely stunned. The incoming German chancellor has even stated that Europe needs independence from the USA.

As for India, it’s business as usual. India has been buying oil from Russia and will continue to do so. Recently, India also started purchasing oil from the US to narrow the trade deficit. There is a possibility of a major trade deal between India and the US, which could remove tariffs on Indian exports.

Overall, this situation serves as a lesson for the entire world: No country, whether the US or any other, should be blindly trusted as a permanent ally. The only true safeguard is ensuring that your own country remains strong, with a robust defense budget. War can break out at any time, and global alliances can shift unexpectedly.

This is a major lesson for the world.
